こがす【焦がす】

1 〔焼いて〕 burn; (すこし) scorch; singe; (黒焦げに) char.

●アイロンで焦がす burn [scorch] 《a shirt》 when one is ironing

・(たき火などで)服を焦がす burn [singe] one's clothes; get one's clothes burned [singed]; one's clothes get burned [singed]

・(魚などを)真っ黒に焦がす burn; char; burn to a cinder
